Core Systems' mechanical engineering team is proficient in 3D solid and surface modeling systems (SolidWorks). Core Systems utilizes 3D CAD software to define each unique customer requirement from basic conceptual design through prototype phase and ultimate final rackmount product production. Core Systems is capable of producing one-off modifications to existing industrial computer design sets or complete ground up unique designs

Each Core customer program is unique. Even within the same company program requirements between divisions are oftentimes dissimilar. Certain program specific variables will dictate the type of testing required to support and deploy each program. Core Systems will work with each customer to properly define and construct a revision controlled integration and test workflow document that will satisfy both Customer and End Users build and test requirements for their program.

The Core Integration Document or CID will define in detail the complete manufacturing and assembly process through integration and test. Each CID will show a complete BOM, assembly diagrams, inspection documents, BIOS settings and testing procedures as specifically defined by the individual customer program. The CID acts as complete build manual so that system 1 and system 1,000 is built and tested the exact same way. Each CID is assigned a unique part number and is revision controlled within our manufacturing facility.

Utilizing the PST approach, Core Systems is able to provide a true turnkey solution to the customer. Each integrated system is delivered and deployed into the field ready to perform.

The Rapid Prototyping of a product is performed in situations when a customer cannot wait the standard 4-6 weeks to manufacture a custom first article unit. Oftentimes, this method of manufacturing is used when the time to market is crucial for initial product recognition or the ultimate funding of a project hinges on the delivery of a physical sample product.

Rapid Prototyping can range from as little as a couple of days for single parts to two weeks for a complete assembly. The cost for Rapid Prototype production is exponentially higher than the cost of standard lead-time prototype production. This is due simply to the fact that our metal fabrication shop will place a hold on the current production line in order to complete this expedited project. The design will be elevated to the top of the programming queue for completion.

In a parallel operation, our procurement team will purchase all materials and sub assemblies immediately and air expedite then into our facility. A fabrication team will be assigned specifically to the prototype product and overtime responsibility is mandatory in order to achieve the desired timeline. Once the prototype is completed the product will be fit tested by our systems group, inspected by our QA department then priority shipped to the customer.
